Purple Reaches Membership Landmark
June 17th 2009
Purple Partnership, the fast-growing network for independent brokers backed by the Jelf Group, has just signed its 30th member, Maldon-based Boothby Taylor.
The five-strong commercial broker had been part of a rival network for a number of years but recently decided to review the arrangement. According to Managing Director, Mike Booth… “Like all agreements, it’s prudent to consider other offerings from time to time and, as a result of teaming up with Purple, we are already receiving a better service.” He discovered that Purple’s overall proposition and the markets and products available were ideally suited to the needs of his business.
Mike explains: “As a small broker, a network offers a competitive edge with regard to what we can provide our clients – better terms with insurers, better service and broader expertise. As a small team, you can’t know everything, but being part of a network we can refer to other experts for independent advice and suggestions which greatly enhances the value we can provide our clients. For us, it makes good business sense.
“Equally and increasingly important is the compliance issue. As our industry becomes ever more regulated, knowing that we have an expert team of compliance professionals on hand enables me to sleep easy each night.
“We are delighted to be part of the Purple Partnership - it may be early days, but I’m confident we have made the right choice.”
According to Les Brewin, Purple’s Commercial Director, “Boothby Taylor is a quality broker and we are delighted to welcome them to Purple. As with all our partner brokers, they will benefit from a range of tailored products developed with our strong panel of insurers and we continue to work with our members to develop a proposition which meets their needs. Obviously we’re pleased to have reached this milestone in our growing membership and remain confident that further steady growth lies ahead”.
